Start your first chat

After connecting an AI provider, you can start a conversation from any project or folder.

Send your first message

1. Click New Chat in the toolbar or press Command-N.

2. Click the model button at the bottom of Chat Input.

3. Choose an available model.

4. Click the message field and enter your request.

5. Press Return to send it.

Vinaa creates the conversation when you send the first message. The response appears as it is generated.

Write a message on more than one line

Press Shift-Return to add a new line without sending the message.

Stop a response

While a response is being generated, click the Stop button or press Escape. You can then edit your request or send a follow-up message.

Continue the conversation

Enter another message in Chat Input. Vinaa includes the previous conversation when it asks the selected model for the next response.

Useful next steps

• Use Command-L to choose another model.

• Click the paperclip to attach a file.

• Use Command-Shift-T to choose AI tools.

• Use the star in the toolbar to add the conversation to Favorites.

Changing the selected model affects future responses. It does not rewrite messages already in the conversation.
