When the selected model supports attachments, you can send files together with your message.

Add a new file

Use any of these methods:

  • Click the paperclip, then choose Choose File.

  • Drag a file onto Chat Input.

  • Paste a supported file from the clipboard.

The file appears above the message field before it is sent. Click its remove control if you selected the wrong file.

Reuse an earlier attachment

  1. Click the paperclip.

  2. Choose Browse Attachments.

  3. Search or browse files from your conversations.

  4. Select one or more files.

  5. Click Add Selected.

Use Command-Shift-A to open the attachment browser directly.

Supported files

Vinaa supports common file types, including:

  • Images such as JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.

  • PDF documents.

  • Plain text and Markdown.

  • JSON, XML, YAML, TOML, and CSV.

  • Common source code, script, and configuration files.

If you cannot attach a file

Check that:

  • The selected model supports attachments.

  • The file type is supported.

  • The file is within Vinaa's size limits.

  • The file still exists and can be read by Vinaa.

Vinaa checks attachments before sending and explains when a selected model cannot use them.
